Welcome!

We’re Jess & Todd, the humans behind Tiny House of New York. We’re 30 and 40-somethings who ditched our normal-sized house and the majority of our belongings for a pretty radical idea: a tiny house on wheels. We’ve designed and are building our own! We believe it takes very little to create a happy life.

Why tiny house living?

  1. Financial freedom/mortgage-free living
  2. More free time
  3. More money for travel
  4. Small environmental footprint, a more sustainable way of life

The truth is they ensure we spend a lot of time outside. And when we’re inside, they’re cuddled up in their way-too-big-for-a-tiny-house dog beds. 🙂

Thanks for following our journey!

Yes, we will get political here sometimes, too.

Occasionally, we’re going to get political on this tiny house blog. That’s because the current state of the country is at least part of the reason we don’t want to put down permanent roots here, instead setting up a life where we can move when we want to (and experiment with international living eventually). We … Continue reading Yes, we will get political here sometimes, too.
